At Area 10 Faith Community, we believe that God loves us unconditionally, but He also challenges us to become the best version of ourselves. At Area 10 Faith Community, our mission is to meet you exactly where you are, build an authentic relationship, and help you move forward in your relationship with God.

Trying to grow someone else’s faith is like trying to grow flowers by pulling on them. But we can create healthy environments to help people grow closer to God. We do this through weekly gatherings, intentional small group discussions, worship and prayer nights, and so much more.

FIND YOUR PEOPLE.

If you’re feeling lonely or isolated, the next step into authentic community is to invest some time in others. At Area 10, we do this through small groups, Men’s and Women’s Ministries, Summer of Fun events, and lots of events throughout the year. Once you start to meet people and learn some names, you're well on your way to being a part of the Area 10 family.

WOMENS HIKE & PICNIC

Ladies, let's get outside and stretch our legs! Join us on Saturday, October 26, a (hopefully) crisp fall morning to appreciate the wonder of God's creation as we marvel at the beauty of the changing of the seasons. Once we finish our autumnal hike, we will enjoy a well-earned meal together. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch and a blanket or chair so we can enjoy a meal together in the open air!

Family movie night

Join us for a FREE family movie night in the city, drive-in style! On Saturday, October 26th, in collaboration with the Byrd Theatre, we will be showing the movie Cars 2 in our back courtyard in Carytown from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Come early at 6pm to "paint your own box car"! We'll help you transform those boxes into drive-in movie box cars.

STUDENT FALL RETREAT

This special event for High School students will be from Friday, Nov 1st to Sunday, Nov 3rd. Fall Retreat is a time for students to step away from the craziness of sports, school, and all of the other activities they have in life, in order to step closer to God and to the students of Area 10, as they spend time practicing the spiritual rhythms that have guided Christians for centuries.

 

FLANNEL FAM JAM

This is the most anticipated student event of the year, and always one of our highest-attended student events! This year, Flannel Fam Jam will be on Wednesday, November 8 from 6:30-8:30pm. Fireside Chats

men’s Retreat

Men: Join us in the foothills of Shenandoah on a 100-acre farm for some rest, relaxation, and recreation as we talk about being Rooted in Christ. We will be 12 minutes from several trails in Shenandoah National Park, plus our location has a pool table, ping pong tables, an indoor basketball court, and loads of inspiring scenery and wildlife.

 

PARTY CRASHERS

The political season is upon us; this is when people get very heated about who will hold political power in our country for the next four years. But for the people of God, should this season get us worked up? Jesus stepped into a politically divided world, not unlike our country today. Rather than putting his influence behind a particular candidate, he advocated for an entirely different kind of kingdom. In this series, we will examine what it means to be a united kingdom of God's people, even in the midst of a politically divided nation.

On Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM, we gather at the Byrd Theatre, which is located at 2908 W. Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23221.

2810: A Community Gathering place

We own and operate 2810: a community gathering place at 2810 W. Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23221. This building functions as our church offices throughout the week, but is also the space for our children’s programming on Sunday mornings.

We also rent this space to local non-profits and community organizations. If you’d like to learn more, please visit 2810rva.com.
