A10 STUDENT FALL RETREAT

This special event will be from Friday, November 1 to Sunday, November 3, and will specifically be for HIGH SCHOOL students only.

Fall Retreat is a time for students to step away from the craziness of sports, school, and all of the other activities they have in life, in order to step closer to God and to the students of Area 10, as they spend time practicing the spiritual rhythms that have guided Christians for centuries. This will be an “unplugged” weekend where students will be encouraged to stay off their phones or digital devices and connect with each other and God.

A10KIDS CAMP: "I WONDER..."

Kids are naturally curious, and when you’re curious about who God is, it’s easy to grow your relationship with Jesus. Kids will not only get curious about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — but also about the God who created it all! They’ll hear from early church leaders like Paul, Peter, John, and Timothy, who helped the first Jesus-followers wonder what made their stories unique, what gifts God gave them (and how they could use those gifts to serve), what they could learn from others, and how they could spend time with God.

Join us Monday through Friday, July 22-26, from 5:30-8:30pm each evening for a slam-packed week of learning God's truths, food, and fun for kids from age 4 through 5th grade. Dinner will be provided for kids and volunteers each night. The cost is $60 per child for the full week, with discounts available for parents/guardians who are willing to help out as volunteers!

This summer, we are sending a team of five to Turkey to serve alongside our missions partners there. The team will assist the local team in their ongoing missional outreach activities, such as American football, English classes, bible studies, and more. They will also have the chance to develop friendships with the local Turks, learn more about the culture and food, as well as travel to the Ephesus, where the early church flourished in ancient times.

Due to the nature of the trip, we can’t share a lot of details on our website, but we occasionally give updates in our weekly newsletter (sign up here).

Every Sunday in April, we will have some members of the Turkey Team in the church lobby to share additional details about their trip and how you can support them.

If you'd like to help the team through financial support to help them cover the cost of travel, meals, lodging, etc, you can click the link below. Any gift amount is very much appreciated!

Easter at Area 10

Sometimes, life gets so out of control, and we make mistakes that seem beyond repair. Starting on Easter Sunday, March 31st, we'll start a brand new sermon series about what it means to get a fresh start in life by following Jesus.

Did you know most people are more likely to accept an invitation to church on Easter than on any other Sunday? This will be a great sermon series to invite your friends and family who may have walked away from God or don't have a church home to get them back into a relationship with Jesus.

Be intentional: Invite at least one person to Easter at Area 10 on Sunday, March 31st!

Please note: A10 KIDS will not have an Elementary class on Easter Sunday. Kids ages five and up are invited to join their families for a fun and engaging celebratory worship service at the Byrd on March 31st.

Lent at Area 10

Churches around the world have been practicing giving up daily comforts or habits for centuries during the 40 days leading up to Easter. So, what does it look like to follow an age-old tradition of observing Lent while still keeping the heart of the spiritual practice alive?

The Lenten season officially runs from Wednesday, February 14, through March 29, but you can jump in and join us at any time! While what you give up is entirely up to you, we aim to journey with one another through these 40 days.

Our ask is simple: In addition to giving up something for Lent, please give at least 15 minutes of the first hour of your day to go through the prayer prompts and reflection questions we will provide. When you sign up, you'll receive a PDF with daily scripture reading, reflection questions, and prayer prompts (or you can access all of those now in the Area 10 app)!

Replenish Meal Packing Project

RePlenish helps local communities provide nourishing meals in urban food deserts. Many kids come from lower-income homes without reliable food availability, so this helps ensure they get some nourishment on the weekends.

This advent season, we raised over $10,000 to support a food security program for Cary B. Elementary, where kids are given backpacks full of food every Friday so they have nutritious, filling meals over the weekend.

This event has currently reached capacity, but we will have opportunities throughout the year to put those backpacks together once per quarter next year.
