HOW WILL YOU SERVE THE NEXT GENERATION
AND THEIR FAMILIES?
There are a couple of ways you can do this…
At Area 10 Faith Community, we have two ministry programs in which we work to help young people get to know God, while building a a faith community and an environment in which they can grow in their faith, with leaders as well as peers just like them. They first one is…
A10 Kids — While parents and adults are meeting in the Byrd Theatre on Sunday mornings, children (infants — fifth grade) are growing in the foundations of the Christian faith here at 2810, through age-appropriate teachings and activities.
Then we have…
A10 Students — This ministry is for our middle and high school students, which meets here at 2810 on Wednesday nights, from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Our goal for Students is to walk alongside middle and high school students as they deepen their relationship with Jesus, learning to walk with Him, and to help students begin taking ownership of their own faith.
Ministering to children and students might be one of the most important things that we can do as a church. And the amazing part about that is this, God uses people just like you to accomplish that mission. Not everyone is meant to be an elementary teacher or middle or high school small group leader, and that’s okay. But God has given ALL of us amazing gifts, and a responsibility to use them, to lead the younger generations.
That’s why our children’s ministry and student ministry are such great areas to serve in and live this out. Both can be challenging, but they are also some of the most rewarding ways that you can invest your time and energy in your faith community.
If this kind of ministry is something you believe you are interested in and gifted for, then we would love to get together with you and begin a conversation about what that could look like. To get that conversation started…
Please select ONE of the ministry teams below that you would most like to serve in.
As a church, our mission is to help guide those in our city to DISCOVER GOD, FIND THEIR PEOPLE, AND CHANGE THE WORLD.
To accomplish this mission with children and students, we work to create spaces where they are able to feel welcomed, seen, and comfortable enough to ask questions as they learn what the Bible shows them about who God is and who they are in Him (their true identity). From fun activities and large group worship, to age/grade-level lessons and groups, our hope is for the children and students at Area 10 to build up their faith community as they grow closer to God! When this takes place, their confidence begins to grow as they learn who Jesus is calling each of them to be, and they begin to use their gifts to serve those around, making an impact for God’s Kingdom — TODAY!
