What happens when you feel alone? What do you do when God seems absent? How do we even know that God is there and that he hears our prayers? In this message, we will look at the birth of Jesus- not about angels shepherds and wise men—but more about what it all means for people who feel alone. In this time when we are told to practice social distancing, we will look at how God does the opposite with us.
Of all the claims that Christianity makes, perhaps the hardest to believe is that God became flesh—the creator of the universe became like us- a man with a heart that pumped blood through his veins. In this 4 week series, we are going to look at this God-man, Jesus, and look at why he came and what he was all about and what he accomplished in his 33 years on earth. In studying him we will learn something about the heart of God for humanity and we will learn how we can join him in that love for people.
This week’s message aligns with Core 52 book, Chapter 32: Incarnation.
